Still working unstretched, I decided to tone down some of the red and extend it towards the bottom left. I also painted in the counter spaces of the letters that form the circle near the middle of the piece

Finally! The canvas is now stretched! I've added yellow-orange to the bottom right area to echo the intensity of what I've done near the top. At this point, I am not happy, something doesn't 'feel' right to me. The middle circle is feeling too heavy, and I'm not at all happy with what is happening in the bottom right. For days, the voice in my head was telling me that in order to proceed, I was going to have take a risk. Well, when I finally listened, I decided to paint out that bottom corner and begin anew. Wouldn't you know, but I wasn't happy with that either, so I put it in the shower!

and Viola! Now we are getting somewhere! From here I added some color details and completed the small lettering further down the left hand side.
