I apologize for the poor quality of this photograph, but I wanted to show you how I set up these canvases to begin work. I have them tacked to bulletin board strips along the back wall of my studio and begin working before the canvas is stretched. In some cases, I may not want the canvas stretched. This way, I can make that decision later on in the process.

Here's a better of shot of the actual canvas. I have it turned upside down to see how it 'feels' in this orientation. So far, I am happy, but it has a long way to go.

Starting to add more color. By this step, I am getting a feel for how I want to proceed. I am caught in the idea of circles as I reflect on how this text affects me. I began to repeat the word 'looking' and adding smaller lettering down the left hand side which repeats the full text, over and over. As things progressed through the various layers, I notice that the small text has begun to weave its way in and out of the foreground/background. I like it, so I continue to work that effect.
